From EDD 7007 I learned that distance education has endless application because of the various definitions of distance. This course, ITDE 8010, built on that foundation. To effectively implement instructional technology and distance education, significant preparation must be completed. One of these preparations is the authoring of a policy that defines how everything from staff to technology will function within the system. Using the organization I was at at the time of the assignment as a subject, I completed the pinnacle assignment for ITDE 8010, a distance education policy. The experience the assignment provided me resulted in an understanding and respect for the complexity of effective distance education.
